Getting Started

Welcome to TTM Group LMS

TTM Group is South Africa's premier AI training institution, and our Learning Management System (LMS) is designed to help you succeed in your professional development journey.

First Steps
  1. Create your account: If you haven't already, register using your email address. You'll receive a confirmation email.
  2. Complete your profile: Visit your profile page to ensure your information is up to date.
  3. Browse courses: Explore available courses in the "All Courses" section.
  4. Enroll in a course: Click on any course to view details, then click "Enroll" to begin learning.
Tip: Start with courses that match your current skill level. You can always enroll in multiple courses!

Courses & Enrollment

Finding Courses

Browse all available courses from the "All Courses" page. You can:

  • Search: Use the search bar to find courses by title or description
  • Filter by tag: Click on category tags to filter courses by topic
  • Sort: Order courses by newest, alphabetical, or most popular
Enrolling in Courses
  1. Click on a course card or title to view course details
  2. Review the course description, curriculum, and instructor information
  3. Click the "Enroll" button (you must be logged in)
  4. Once enrolled, the course appears in "My Courses"
Course Status
  • Locked courses: Some courses may appear locked until you enroll. This is normal—simply enroll to unlock access.
  • In progress: Courses you've started but not completed appear in "My Courses" with your progress percentage
  • Completed: Finished courses remain accessible for review
Remember: You can enroll in multiple courses simultaneously and learn at your own pace.

Learning & Progress

Starting a Course
  1. Go to "My Courses" and click on the course you want to start
  2. Click "Start Learning" or "Resume" if you've already begun
  3. The course player opens with the curriculum sidebar on the left
Course Structure

Courses are organized into:

  • Modules: Main sections of the course (e.g., "Module 1: Introduction")
  • Units: Individual lessons, Knowledge Checks, or assignments within modules
  • Lessons: Content units with text, images, videos, or interactive content
Navigating Content
  • Use the sidebar to navigate between modules and units
  • Click on any unit to view its content
  • Completed units are marked with a checkmark
  • Locked units (prerequisites not met) appear grayed out
  • Use "Next" and "Previous" buttons at the bottom to move through content
Tracking Progress

Your progress is tracked automatically:

  • Progress percentage is shown at the top of the course player
  • Completed units are marked in the sidebar
  • View overall progress in "My Courses"
  • Check "My learning" dashboard for a comprehensive view
Completing Units

To mark a lesson as complete:

  1. Read or watch all content in the unit
  2. Click the "Mark as Complete" button at the bottom
  3. The unit is marked complete and your progress updates

Knowledge Checks

What are Knowledge Checks?

Knowledge Checks (quizzes) test your understanding of course material. They help reinforce learning and ensure you're ready to proceed.

Question Types
  • Multiple Choice: Select one correct answer from several options
  • True/False: Choose whether a statement is true or false
  • Short Answer: Type your answer (case-insensitive matching)
Taking a Knowledge Check
  1. Navigate to the Knowledge Check unit in your course
  2. Read each question carefully
  3. Select or type your answers
  4. Click "Submit" when finished
  5. Review your results immediately
Passing Requirements
  • Passing score: 70% or higher
  • Unlocking next module: You must pass to unlock subsequent modules
  • Retakes: You can retake Knowledge Checks if you don't pass
  • Feedback: See which questions you got right or wrong
Tips for Success
  • Review course material before attempting Knowledge Checks
  • Read questions carefully—some may have multiple correct answers (for multiple choice)
  • Take your time—there's no time limit
  • Use your notes if you've taken any
Important: You must pass Knowledge Checks to unlock the next module. If you don't pass, review the material and try again.

Assignments

Submitting Assignments

Some courses include assignments that require you to submit work for facilitator review.

How to Submit
  1. Navigate to the assignment unit in your course
  2. Read the assignment instructions carefully
  3. Complete your work according to requirements
  4. Type your response in the text box (if required)
  5. Upload files if needed (PDF, Word, images, etc.)
  6. Click "Submit Assignment"
After Submission
  • You'll receive a notification when your assignment is graded
  • Check your notifications (bell icon) for updates
  • View feedback and grades from your facilitator
  • You can view graded assignments in the course
File Upload Guidelines
  • Accepted formats: PDF, DOC, DOCX, images (JPG, PNG)
  • Maximum file size: Check assignment instructions
  • Name files clearly (e.g., "Assignment1_YourName.pdf")
Note: Assignment grading times vary. Your facilitator will review submissions and provide feedback as soon as possible.

Certificates

Earning Certificates

Certificates are automatically issued when you complete a course (100% progress).

Viewing Certificates
  1. Go to "My learning" dashboard
  2. Scroll to the "Certificates" section
  3. Click on any certificate to view it
  4. Certificates display your name, course title, and completion date
Downloading Certificates
  • Print: Use your browser's print function (Ctrl+P or Cmd+P)
  • PDF: Click "Download PDF" if available
  • Save: Save the PDF to your computer for your records
Certificate Requirements
  • Complete all course units (100% progress)
  • Pass all required Knowledge Checks
  • Submit and pass all required assignments (if applicable)
Congratulations! Certificates are a testament to your learning achievement. Share them on LinkedIn or print for your portfolio.

Points & Badges

Earning Points

Points reward your learning activities:

  • +10 points: Enrolling in a course
  • +5 points: Completing a unit
  • +15 points: Passing a Knowledge Check
  • +50 points: Completing a course
Badges

Badges are special achievements you earn by reaching certain milestones:

  • Earned automatically when you meet badge requirements
  • Displayed on your profile and "My learning" dashboard
  • Examples: "First Steps" (first enrollment), "Knowledge Check Master" (multiple passes), "Course Complete" (first completion)
Leaderboard

Compete with other learners:

  • View the leaderboard to see top learners by points
  • Your ranking updates as you earn points
  • Badges are displayed next to names
Viewing Your Points & Badges
  1. Go to "My learning" dashboard
  2. See your total points at the top
  3. View your badges in the badges card
  4. Check the leaderboard to see your ranking
Tip: Stay active! The more you learn, the more points you earn. Consistency is key to climbing the leaderboard.

My Notes

Taking Notes

Personal notes help you remember key information and organize your thoughts.

Adding Notes
  1. While viewing a unit in the course player, scroll to the "My notes" section
  2. Type your notes in the text box
  3. Notes autosave as you type
  4. Click "Save notes" to ensure they're saved
Viewing All Notes
  • Go to "My notes" in the main navigation
  • See all notes organized by course and unit
  • Search notes by course name, module, or note content
  • Click on any note to view the full unit
Note Features
  • Private: Only you can see your notes
  • Per-unit: Each unit has its own note section
  • Searchable: Search across all your notes
  • Persistent: Notes remain even after completing a course
Privacy: Your notes are completely private. Only you can access them. Clear the text and save to remove notes.

Q&A with Facilitator

Getting Help from Your Facilitator

Have questions about course content? Use the Q&A feature to ask your facilitator directly.

Asking Questions
  1. While in a course, click "Q&A" or "Facilitator Chat"
  2. Type your question in the text box
  3. Click "Post Question"
  4. Your question appears in the Q&A feed
Viewing Responses
  • Check the Q&A page regularly for facilitator responses
  • You'll receive a notification when your question is answered
  • See all questions and answers from other learners
  • Questions can be marked as "Resolved" when answered
Announcements

Facilitators may post announcements:

  • Important course updates
  • Additional resources
  • Schedule changes
  • General guidance
Best Practices
  • Be specific and clear in your questions
  • Check existing Q&A before asking (someone may have asked already)
  • Be respectful and professional
  • Allow time for responses (facilitators check regularly but may not be online 24/7)
Community: Q&A benefits everyone! Other learners can see questions and answers, creating a collaborative learning environment.

Profile & Settings

Updating Your Profile
  1. Click on your name in the top navigation
  2. You'll see your profile page with current information
  3. Edit your name or email address
  4. Click "Update Profile" to save changes
Changing Your Password
  1. Go to your profile page
  2. Scroll to "Change Password" section
  3. Enter your current password
  4. Enter your new password (twice for confirmation)
  5. Click "Update Password"
Viewing Your Achievements
  • See your total points on your profile
  • View all badges you've earned
  • Check your course completion statistics
Notifications

Manage your notifications:

  • Click the bell icon in the navigation to see notifications
  • Notifications appear for: assignment grades, Q&A replies, course updates
  • Click "Mark all as read" to clear notifications
  • Visit "Notifications" page to see full history
Security: Keep your password secure and don't share your account with others. If you suspect unauthorized access, change your password immediately.

Common Issues
Can't log in?
  • Check your email and password are correct
  • Use "Forgot Password" to reset if needed
  • Clear your browser cache and cookies
  • Try a different browser
Video not playing?
  • Check your internet connection
  • Try refreshing the page
  • Ensure your browser allows video playback
  • Check if pop-up blockers are interfering
Progress not saving?
  • Ensure you're connected to the internet
  • Click "Mark as Complete" buttons explicitly
  • Don't close the browser before completion is saved
  • Refresh the page and check again
File upload issues?
  • Check file size limits
  • Ensure file format is supported (PDF, DOC, DOCX, images)
  • Try a different file name (avoid special characters)
  • Check your internet connection stability
Performance Tips
  • Use a stable internet connection for video content
  • Close unnecessary browser tabs
  • Clear browser cache regularly
  • Update your browser to the latest version
